Definition
Tissue refers to a group of cells that work together to perform a specific function within an organism. Tissues are the building blocks of organs and are classified into four primary types: epithelial, connective, muscle, and nervous tissue. Each type has distinct structures and functions that contribute to the overall physiology of the body.

- Nervous Tissue: Composed of neurons and glial cells; it is responsible for transmitting electrical signals throughout the body and processing information.
